Following the re-release of the Midnight Special, Surly is tweaking another one of its iconic models for 2026. With two complete build kits in Grandpa’s Khakis brown, the 2026 Surly Disc Trucker features components from Shimano’s CUES line in both 700c and 26″ iterations.

The updated Disc Trucker features dynamo routing on the fork, as well as three-pack mounts on the fork blades and “every braze-on you’ll ever need” for racks, fenders, and water bottle cages. Using 12mm thru-axles for a stiffer ride feel and increased stability when fully loaded, Surly has also shortened the seat tube, added a slight slope to the top tube for improved stand-over clearance, and tweaked the stack height for a more upright and comfortable riding position. The Disc Trucker is equipped with the Truck Stop Bar and tubeless ExtraTerrestrial tires, flat-mount hydraulic disc brakes, a seat stay-mounted spoke holder, and a removable kickstand plate.

Note that sizes 42-54cm have 26″ wheels, and the 56-64cm sizes are built with 700c wheels.

Surly split the frame sizing into two five-size runs across two wheel sizes. Frame sizes 42–54cm are available with 26″ wheels, and frame sizes 56–64cm are available with 700c wheels. The Disc Trucker has clearance for 26 x 2.1″ or 700c x 47mm with fenders. The new Disc Trucker retails at $2,099 complete or $999 for a frameset.
