The redesigned F/AR all-roader from Fara Cycling features a unique fully integrated baggage system that was developed in tandem with the team at Roswheel. Take a look at the F/AR and its Fidlock-mounted, welded bags here…

Oslo, Norway-based Fara Cycling’s latest model, the redesigned F/AR All-Road Bike, features an interesting strapless frame bag system that caught our eye. Working in tandem with the bag manufacturers at Roswheel, they developed a trio of welded bikepacking bags that click into the frame using Fidlock mounting hardware, resulting in a low-profile, integrated fit. Although the attachment system for the handlebar bag and seat pack isn’t entirely clear from the renderings provided online, the ultra-sleek frame and bag integration is a clever concept that we’ve yet to see executed quite like this elsewhere.

From Fara: “…when redesigning the F/AR we realized we had the opportunity to integrate bikepacking bags with the frame on a level that has never been done before. We teamed up with industry-leading bag makers Roswheel, utilizing their lightweight and waterproof welded technology and paired this with an attachment system by Fidlock allowing us to eliminate the straps all together, yet still allow the bags to be removed quickly and easily. The result is a bag system that will attach and detach easily in seconds and fits perfectly to the F/AR’s frame geometry.”

The new full-carbon Fara F/AR itself is the end product of five years of learning and 18 months of product development, testing, and refining. Fara calls it the “ideal bike for mixed-surface adventures,” although given its relatively minimal tire clearance for 32-35mm tires, it’s likely better suited to the ultra-distance road cycling crowd. Bikepackers will appreciate that it has mounts for three bottles, a top tube bag, fork cages, a rear rack, and fenders.

Complete pricing starts at €3,499 ($4,245). Find additional details on the new Fara F/AR and its fully integrated baggage system over at FaraCycling.com.
