Been bikepacking for 2 years now using others' routes or routes I'm already well familiar with. Next year I plan on venturing further from home and making my own routes. What is the best 1-2 punch in terms of apps for route planning and devices for navigation? I'll be looking for back roads, rail trails, logging roads and occassional single track. Thanks.

I have a Trek Procaliber 8 that I switched over to a rigid fork a couple of years ago. The switch was mainly so that I could add cargo cages up front. So definitely in search of suspension, I am wondering if the Cane Creek eeSilk Suspension Stem works on a flat bar bike?

I'm in the market for a full suspension mountain bike that will serve double duty as a daily trail bike in the PNW (I favor techy climbs and descents over ripping groomed trails) and a bikepacking bike for only the most heinous of singletrack-centric routes. What's everyone's recommendations?

Hoping for some advise from the Aussie's here! My partner and I are doing a bit of a mix + match route including part of Attack of the Buns + Hunt 1000 + Otway Rip, with a train ride from Albury to Melbourne in between. Currently we are looking at about 5 days (I'm pretty slow) without a resupply from Canberra, through Brindabella National Park, up to Yarrangobilly Mt., through Cabramurra and Kozciuszko National Park, to Corryong. The Hunt 1000 guide recommended a general store in Cabrmurra but everything online seems to indicate it's closed. Does anyone have a recommendation on which type of stove to bring to Morocco? What kind of fuel is available along the route of caravans? Are there fuel canisters and if so which kind? Am I better off bringing an alcohol burning stove?

I recently started exploring my mechanic skills and I ended up having a tough relationship with my tubeless tires...long story short....any advise to how to remove the old sealant inside the tires?....I tried sealant remover( Joe's no flat) and also glue and residue eraser rubber....nothing is working....The tires are barely used and i don't want to get new ones yet...

I'm working up to my first big self-supported ride, around 3,000km over 3- 4 weeks next year. My longest trip so far is 3.5 days (375km / 3000m), so this is a big jump and I'm equal parts excited and nervous. If you've done one of these, what's the one thing you wish someone had told you before your first? Training, gear, food, sleep, pacing, the tough mental days, anything goes. Thanks for sharing, it's much appreciated!

I recently installed a Mica Rat Tail, it's really nice. Can anyone identify the stainless steel clamps that connect the struts to the rack? I've found all kinds of tubing clamps, just not this particular model. Thanks for any help.

Anyone having issues with Rene Herse TPU tubes? I’ve had 3 fail on me and being blamed for user error and to just doesn’t make sense to me. It’s this terrible design where the valve stem can’t even seat its own gasket into the rim hole because it is retracted. I’m being told it’s my rims causing the holes. But the holes don’t even come close to the rim hole. I had the same issue on two different tubes in two different wheels. Following all the recommended pressures etc. They’ve been dismissive which is frustrating. Anyways, want some righteous indignant street justice, but would settle for some general insight.

Got my first ultra race in a few weeks. We are looking at 240 miles, and the furthest I've ever ridden is 146. Any words of advice for ultra racing? Have you ever been out on a long race and wished you had something that you didn't bring? I'm planning to bring clothing layers, a very basic sleep kit, repair tools, and lots of space for food and water. Anything else I'm missing?

New flats. I am looking to get me some new flat pedals, and would love some thoughts on which to get. I ride composite pedals now and they have served me well over the years, but now I look for something else. I ride slow and sweet on a steel bike, with/without packs and most kinds of terrain, all kinds of shoes and sandals. I do like stuff well built and don't mind paying for it.
