Cowichan Valley 8 Victoria, BC. I should have a chance to ride this loop on short notice, (in 2 weeks). Can I primitive camp or do I need a reservation at a park? Do I need a bear canisters? Thanks Doug

Hey Doug, route creator here. There aren't many options for comfortable wild camping along the route, but if you're creative, you can probably find something. Cyclists can often show up to campsites in BC without a reservation and find a spot, but it's not guaranteed. If you can, I'd reserve a spot. A bear canister can work, but a dry bag + a good chunk of rope is often easier to pack. Use the PCT method: https://theultimatehang.com/2013/03/19/hanging-a-bear-bag-the-pct-method/
