Hitting the Kokopelli Fruita to Moab next month and wondering opinions on bike choice. My loved ECR or a full suspension? Those are my options currently Thanks Bill

Thanks for the opinions on this. Consensus seems to be full suspension for this one. Neither is perfect all the time and yes the beginning and dropping into Moab are the biggest factors! Thanks

I'd probably take Neil's advice, as I haven't ridden the Kokopelli Trail in many years, but I remember appreciating full-sus when I rode it. There was enough chunk and rough descents to make it seem worthwhile. I have no clue what the current conditions are like. Have fun!

Hey Bill, always a tough call. The ECR is a great bike, and I assume will be the best tool for the job with gear and storage, but the full-sus, not sure what one, might be nice for the chunk at the start in Loma, and a few stretches along the way. I guess one thing you want to consider is if you plan on doing the Whole Enchelada. If so, then you might want to consider the full sus. But if you plan on taking Sand Flats Road down, I'd likely underbike a few sections and take the ECR. Hope this helps.
