  • Is it better to be running a tubeless setup or tubes? Thinking is tubes in case of a flat where a shop is not close by. Easier to change out tubes or patch a hole in a tire.

  • Anyone know who makes a ‘second’ seatpost clamp to prevent your seatpost from slipping? I’ve seen them in pictures and videos but cannot seem to find one. My Ti seatpost loves to slip over time from constant abuse. Even when torqued properly with light lube to prevent seizing.

  • Does anyone have experience in the Bucegi Mountains outside of Brasov, Romania? My brother and I are thinking of a week long trip there this July. Unsure about fully self-supported or staying in huts, etc. Unsure of the bear situation, if it's similar to USA (we are from Montana, so do have some experience in bear areas) or if they are more aggressive/hungry. FS MTB setups, and not afraid of Hike a Bike if it's worth it. Maybe if it's not even :). Thanks!

  • Hello everyone, I'm looking for my next hardtail frame to be added to my gravel bike for Bikepacking outings on more complicated terrain and also for a Trail use, my choice was reduced to these 3 frames: -Sklar tall tale with 150 mm fork -Nordest Sardinha 3 with 120 mm fork -Cotic bfe with 140 mm fork I know they are frames with quite different characteristics but on paper and reading the reviews all three should behave very well; do you have any advice to give me? Thank you all Davide

  • I'm looking for a pair of pants similar to the Ornot Mission Pants, but for women. My husband has the Mission Pants, and they just look so good on and off the bike - I want something that I can wear on a rest day, or going out for dinner, that will look smart. Everything I look at is very MTB-y, or has the brand name down the side - I just want smart and stretchy!

  • Any experience with SQlab 314 handlebar? I in theory like the front sweep on the horizontal section but can't try them and don't understand why the width options are so different to the Redshift top shelf.

  • Hey all, I just finished installing my GX t-type drivetrain on my Revel Wayward V2. To my dismay, when I shift into the smallest cog, the chain binds against my sliding dropout. I’ve triple checked everything, taken it to a few local bike shops, and I’m pretty sure it’s just an issue with my dropouts, but I’d appreciate feedback if anyone else has dealt with this issue. I have contacted Revel support. I emailed one customer service person for a few weeks and called in to the customer support yesterday. I have gotten nowhere; they don't think it's an issue with the dropouts and insist the mistake is on my end. I am pretty frustrated.

  • I’ve got a Sonder Camino drop bar gravel bike and want to find a quick and easy to bring my small (<5kg) dog along. Initially just to see if she likes it so would prefer not to spend too much money at this stage. Have an Ortlieb qr rack on the back and an OMM Elkhorn I can fit to the front. Thanks in anticipation…

  • Anyone know what the new POI option 'Bikepacking.com Hub' on RideWithGPS is all about? I was playing around on the website a few days ago and noticed some changes happening in realtime- options that weren't available one minute were the next. Is this something new that hasn't been announced yet?

  • I am looking for recommendations and advice on a Ti hardtail purchase. Primary use would be routes like Pinyons and Pines with a lot of gravel, but also chunky forest road descents and single track. Times when its not rough enough for full suspension, but more than I want to handle on my Cutthroat. I was using an old Niner Air 9 for this purpose, but it is past worn out. I would love to find a suitable mid-high end Ti option. Something more XCmarathon oriented and quick, but also comfortable for multi-day events. I'm hung up on not wanting something too twitchy, but also don't want to be slacked out and slow. Currently looking at Chumba YauponSendero, Moots WombleMXC, Revel El Jefe. Thanks!

  • I have a Salsa Heyday! (2021) and was curious about fitting it with non-fat tire wheels + tires. Any recommendations for what to look for and would fit the bike properly?
