Custom Ti specifically designed for bikepacking- Low BB, 29+ wheels, 3-pack under downtube, stable geometry, thicker toptube for stiffness, rocker dropouts. Inspired By Surly ECR, Carver Gnarvester and Jones bikes.
Size Large- I'm 6'0" (182.5cm)
Shimano 12sp drivetrain- XT der, shifter, chain, cranks (170mm), SLX 10-51t cassette w Chris King bottom bracket (73mm)
Shimano SLX M7120 brakes- 4 piston w 180mm Ice Tech rotors
Wheels- hand built
Hubs- Schmidt SON 150 dynamo front and XTR M9110 rear
Rims- Light Bicycle carbon, i45mm, 32h, Sapim D-lite, brass
Tires- Maxxis Chronicle 3" front x Rekon 2.8" rear- both with Cushcore inserts
Fork- Fatback (aka Corvus) carbon 470mm A-C w 3-packs on legs
Kona/WTB saddle, Kona seatpost, Ritchey Trail WCS bar, Cane Creek Forty headset, Kona lock-on grips
Frame and wheels have seen less than 25 days of bikepacking plus some gravel rides. Most of the other parts are borderline new or new.
For the finale- this bike weighs 27lb 9oz (12.50kg)!!
