Hyperlite Mountain Gear The Shell, Size medium: This is an ultralight, waterproof-breathable rain jacket built from Dyneema Composite Fabric laminated to an eVent membrane, pairing near-mythic durability with impressively low weight. Designed with a helmet-compatible hood, waterproof zips, and simple adjusters, it packs down incredibly small. Hyperlite even relaunched a limited run in late 2022, underscoring continued demand for this minimalist but tough rain shell. This one’s really only been used on one weeklong trip and I only broke it out twice—hence a little dirt still on it.
