2022 Alberta Rockies 700

This is a fully self supported bike packing event. The route is over 80% gravel. It will be run similar to events such as the Tour Divide and other long distance self supported rides. The grand depart will take place in Canmore Alberta and will offer two separate distances of loops.

Choose from two different loop lengths: 500km or 700km.

This event is fully self supported, no outside help other than what you can find or buy along the way. Services are extremely limited on this route, so you will need to pack accordingly. Water crossings are plentiful.

Spot trackers are recommended.

Remember that this route goes through people’s property and near their homes, please respect the land owners and leave the route as you found it or better.

Setup: A 29er hardtail or even a fatbike would likely be your choice of ride for this route as it is 80% gravel with occasional connecting paved sections. Be prepared for long stretches between services, so a full bikepacking setup would be recommended.
