Founded in 2012, BIKEPACKING.com is the leading resource for bikepacking routes, in-depth gear reviews, inspiration, planning insight, adventure stories, news, and events. Brought to you by folks addicted to campfire smoke, chromoly steel, and getting lost. Our small team strives to inspire readers to get out and explore our planet, discover its wild places, and connect with its diverse cultures, all via the bicycle’s elegant simplicity.

Logan Watts

Logan Watts

Logan Watts founded BIKEPACKING.com and is responsible for its overall vision. Before being drawn into the world of bicycle travel and launching the site, he ran a boutique design firm that specialized in branding and website design. Find Logan’s routes, reviews, and stories published weekly.

Cass Gilbert

Cass Gilbert

Cass Gilbert publishes regular features and route guides on the site, and helps steer it in the right direction. In addition to his many written and photographic contributions to dozens of websites and magazines, he has bikepacked his way across the Americas and run a successful guiding business in the Indian Himalaya.

Lucas Winzenburg

Lucas Winzenburg

Lucas Winzenburg edits all the content we publish on the web and serves as the editor-in-chief of The Bikepacking Journal. Before joining the BIKEPACKING.com team, Lucas founded and spent five years working as the creative director of Bunyan Velo, the digital bicycle travel magazine.

Miles Arbour

Miles Arbour

Miles Arbour joined the team in late 2016 and has quickly added a number of features to his name. He’s often in the mountains of British Columbia testing out gear for review, and he also frequently contributes news articles and maintains our events calendar.

Joe Cruz

Joe Cruz

Joe Cruz lends his expedition cycling perspective to the site, contributing spectacular new routes and trail-tested gear reviews. When he’s not pedaling, Joe is a Professor of Philosophy and the Chair of the Cognitive Science Program at Williams College.

Virginia Krabill

Virginia Krabill

Virginia Krabill has been involved with BIKEPACKING.com from the very beginning, publishing occasional features and editing content since the site was launched in 2012. She’s also our resident nurse and helps keep Logan in line during their travels together.
