After years of quietly working behind the scenes, we couldn’t be more excited to announce the new BIKEPACKING.com x Voilé Micro-Nano Strap, a mini accessory with maximum utility. Find additional details and photos here…
It’s no secret that we’re great admirers of Voilé Straps. First launched as ski straps around 40 years ago, they’ve since found their way into the broader outdoor world and earned their place as an essential bikepacking accessory, which is hardly surprising given their almost endless uses. But, despite their many applications, we’ve always found their size somewhat limiting—until now.
Following nearly two years of prototyping, we’re thrilled to finally unveil the first collaboration from the BIKEPACKING.com x Voile Ingenuity Lab, the all-new Micro-Nano Strap. Originally designed to eliminate the unnecessary weight and complexity of a matchbox, the Micro-Nano strap was purpose-built to hold around a dozen matches securely, but we soon realized that its versatile 0.75″ length also makes it ideal for holding up to three other Voile straps, gummy worms (for light snackers), or SIM cards (for international bikepacking trips). It’s also perfect for keeping your Ti spork collection organized.
Built from the same non-marring, UV-resistant polyurethane as other Voilé Straps, the Micro-Nano features an upgraded aerospace-grade black palladium buckle instead of the standard nylon option, which is highly durable and laterally stiff yet vertically compliant—ideal for securing your precious cargo over rough terrain.
Up from $4.00 for the standard 4″ Nano Strap, the new, more versatile Voilé Micro-Nano Strap is priced at $54.99. This slight increase accounts for the rising price of palladium and our need to recoup the costs of extensive wind tunnel testing (which, looking back, might not have been money well spent). We’ll be opening pre-orders soon, stay tuned!
