Updated for 2022, the new Standert Erdgeschoss is a stainless steel gravel bike featuring a new fork, internal cable routing, clearance for 700 x 50mm tires, and a several other clever features. Check out the Berlin-based brand’s latest release here…
Now in its third iteration, the Standert Erdgeschoss is designed and tested in Berlin and continues to be updated with features that make it more appealing as a drop-bar bikepacking rig. While it’s still based around a stainless steel frame, the Erdgeschoss now comes specced with the new Columbus Cross+ fork, which has an adjustable offset, dynamo wiring, and three-pack mounts for cargo cages or extra water. Another big update is the switch to sliding dropouts, which allows for wheelbase adjustments, increased tire clearance, and more drivetrain options.
Standert maintained a number of mounting options, including top tube bosses, downtube bosses, plus rack and fender mounts. It even has a dedicated rear light mount on the seat stay, just below the saddle, and has internal dynamo routing through the frame as well. Each frame is handmade and painted by hand in Taiwan with heavy-duty paint to ensure a long-lasting colour. The frames are then coated with a protective glossy clear coat to protect the entire bike. The Erdgeschoss uses a 27.2mm seatpost, has clearance for 650 x 54mm or 700 x 50mm tires, and is offered in seven sizes from 48cm to 60cm.
Standert is offering the Erdgeschoss as a complete build or frameset. The complete builds are based around an assortment of high-end components, including a SRAM XPLR AXS drivetrain, Zipp touch points, a Chris King headset, and DT Swiss wheels. They also give the option to switch certain components to dial in the build. The Erdgeschoss comes in two colour options: Moss Def and Rawkim. Complete build prices start at €4,949 (including VAT) and the frameset option costs €2,199 (including VAT). Standert ships worldwide and currently has most sizes and colours in stock.
