Green Karst Trail 2025

The fourth bikepacking challenge in the heart of Slovenian Karst – Hidden Treasures of the Postojna Cave Area. Kilometres of macadam roads and cart tracks surrounded by forests, running across the mysterious karst world, on bear tracks, over the land of intermittent lakes, and between remote castles and mansions.

The Green Karst Trail offers two routes:
– Green route: 300 km / 5,000 m elevation
– Red route: 430 km / 6,500 m elevation.

For fans of self-supported bikepacking in unspoiled nature. A unique multi-day and the greenest adventure in nature, which will forever remain in your memory, with no time limits, created for cyclists by cyclists.

This is not a race but a true test of endurance and self-sufficiency. The trail is not marked, but each rider will receive a GPX track and a tracking device, allowing real-time tracking via www.bikeslovenia.si.

There is no outside support, though hot soup and water are available at select points.

The recommended bike is either gravel or mtb. E-bikes are welcome.
