Now back in the hands of its founder, Colorado’s Revel Bikes is once again offering a range of five titanium models, and pre-orders are now open. Find an overview of Revel’s 2025 Ti offerings and their direct-to-consumer model here…
Following a production hiatus while the brand went through some big changes and ultimately ended up in the hands of founder Adam Miller once again, Colorado’s Revel Bikes is fully back in the titanium business. We’re glad to see it. The returning range of Ti bikes includes five models: the R+, El Jefe, Wayward, Big Iron, and Tirade. All of them are available as standalone frames, and a few are offered in complete builds.
“These bikes were a big part of our secret sauce,” said Adam, speaking to what it means for titanium to be making a comeback at Revel. “We built them because we wanted to ride them. Then other people started riding them, and it just worked really well.”
Also re-joining the team is Mike Giese, the original designer of Revel’s first carbon models, who’ll now be working as both the director of product and creative director. “Titanium is a new material for me to dabble in and I’m excited for the opportunities that come with it,” he said. “Beyond making dialed Ti bikes, we can experiment with wild ideas and use these bikes as an incubation tank for future carbon bike ideas and concepts. Time to get weird!”
Find a quick refresher on all five 2025 titanium models below, as described by Revel:
El Jefe
Ultra-endurance legend Jefe Branham told us what his dream bike looks like. So we made it. Like Branham, the El Jefe goes where it wants, from the backcountry to the starting line at an XC race. A straight top tube, sliding dropouts, 120mm of travel up front, room for 29×2.6 tires, and titanium’s legendary playfulness and comfort set the tone for adventure, no matter how you define it.
R+
Heritage and modern tech clash with a future-proofed gravel design. One of the few gravel bikes equipped with SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and a Revel-designed carbon fork that fits everything from a 700x50c to a 27.5×2.1 tire, the R+ does what every gravel racer, rider, or adventurer does every ride out: adapts, charges onward, and casts an eye on any terrain, anywhere.
Tirade
Metal guitar gods know less is more. The Tirade follows suit with the tools you need and none you don’t. 140mm of travel up front and nothing but powerful titanium out back to rip up the climbs and plunge playfully down the descents. Strong, comfortable, and versatile as it morphs from geared hardtail to singlespeed at your command, the Tirade’s simplicity belies a trail-chugging beast.
Big Iron
Fat, chunky, sandy, snowy — the Big Iron is a monster truck with metal at its core. This iron man likes the conditions nasty and gnarly: its 5-inch tires, carbon fork, ultra-rugged titanium frame, and curated components selection make it ideal for less than ideal conditions.
Wayward
Get lost, over the hills and far away. The Wayward dreams of multi-day bikepacking trips and single-day epics over misty mountain tops, just like you do. It’s equipped with 120mm of front travel, 29+ tires, uber-quiet and low-maintenance belt drive, sliding dropouts, and plenty of mounting points for the size and shape of your adventure.
Direct to Consumer
Revel’s bikes are available globally now, shipping direct to riders and retailers from our Colorado headquarters and Taiwan warehouse, depending on location. Pre-orders are open now with a $500 deposit to hold your frame, and bikes should ship in early October. Frames start at $2,499, roughly the same price as when Revel launched the line in 2016, thanks to their adoption of a direct-to-consumer pricing model.
