Velo Orange recently received a shipment of highly anticipated goods. More than just a restock of old favorites, they have some brand-new components, including their 32″ goodies, new hubs, saddles, and much more. Read on for more details on this long-awaited shipment…
Announced at MADE last year, Velo Orange is getting into the 32″ market. With some exciting new offerings, their latest shipment of goods includes rims, new hubs, saddles, and more.
Velo Orange Chronos Hub Series
At the heart of their new wheel program are the Chronos hubs. Using a redesigned hub shell and a 36 or 54T star ratchet internal, these hubs come in silver or black in 28/32 hole options. Available in Boost, disc (12mm/QR convertible), and rim brake (130/135mm convertible), the ratcheting internals have easily swappable freehub bodies (HG, XDR, Microspline, and Campy) and tool-free serviceability. Hub pricing varies by option, but they range between $105-120 for front hubs and $205-235 for rear hubs.

Orbital Disc Rims
Velo Orange says that their new Orbital disc rims are a clean, lightweight departure from the shape of their traditional rim-brake extruded rims. Designed specifically for disc brakes, these are lighter and still supposedly quite strong. According to Velo Orange’s Igor Shytenbuk, they’re good for both light-duty mountain biking and commuting. The new rims are tubeless-ready, have a wide internal profile optimized for 45mm to 2.5″ tires, and are available in 28 and 32h drillings in all wheel sizes (20″, 650b, 700c, and 32″). Prices vary by rim size and range from $98 to $115.

New Leather Saddle Collection
Velo Orange has refined and brought back its classic leather saddles. Split into three silhouettes based on rider posture, the Spirited, Touring, and City are intended to cover the range of riding styles. Spirited is said to be optimized for aggressive road and gravel positions, Touring is a middle-of-the-road option, and City is designed for upright city bikes and relaxed riding. Each saddle is available in brown, black, and honey and retails for $120.
