It’ll have you itching to get out for a spin around the neighborhood yourself. Watch it here, along with a selection of still images from the film…
We’re loving this video portrait of Jo Min Geun, an intriguing South Korean cyclist who is passionate about his Larry vs Harry Bulitt cargo bike. In this 10-minute short, he shares his cycling origin story, from riding as a child, to competitive road racing, to touring around the country, to finally discovering and buying a Bulitt cargo bike, all in his own thoughtful and quirky way.
While it might not be a film about bikepacking in the strictest sense, it’s a refreshingly candid sketch of someone with a genuine and infectious passion for his bicycle and the way it connects him to the people and places around him. If nothing else, this latest release from JustNormalFilm is a powerful reminder of all the spirit-lifting potential that’s just a quick ride around the neighborhood away, whether that’s pedaling out to watch a sunset, striking up a conversation with another rider at a stoplight, or throwing your (in this case super deluxe) coffee making kit onto the bike and riding out to brew up a cup outside.
