Announcing the 2021 Bombtrack Cale and Cale AL

Building on the success of the Beyond+ rigid mountain bikes, Bombtrack released the Cale last year to position a more modern steel hardtail within their lineup. With a 130mm suspension fork and a more progressive geometry, the Cale is a little more playful on the trail than the Beyond+ bikes, but still remains plenty capable for bikepacking with plenty of mounting options. Think of it as a mountain bike built for big backcountry rides and more technical bikepacking exploits. For 2021, they keep the steel model in the lineup and add an aluminum version. 2021 Bombtrack Cale

The 2021 Bombtrack Cale features a 4130 double-butted chromoly frame with rack/fender mounts, Boost spacing, internal dropper cable routing, and 73mm BSA bottom bracket shell. The frame features mounts for a read rack, three-pack mounts on the top and bottom of the downtube, and a pair of mounts at the cockpit for a direct mount top tube bag. For 2021, the Cale comes setup as a 29er instead of 27.5+.

2021 Bombtrack Cale AL

The 2021 Bombtrack Cale AL is a more affordable alloy version of the Cale trail bike with a 6061-T6 hydro-formed aluminium frame. The Cale AL gets all the same mounts featuring rack/fender mounts, Boost spacing, internal dropper cable routing, and a 73mm BSA bottom bracket shell.

To shave off over $1200 from the bottom line, the 2021 Bombtrack Cale AL has a slightly lower-end spec than the steel version.
