Maricopa Trail Race 2021

Originally dreamed up in 1997 by the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department, the Maricopa Trail encircles the Phoenix metro area and connects nine of the ten regional parks. The Maricopa Trail consists of smooth desert single track, rugged backcountry like trails, and canal pathways. The core loop of the Maricopa trail is ~240 miles and is never far from endless resupply options. A group start of the trail will occur at 6am on 3/19/21.

The Maricopa Trail ‘Race’ is an unsanctioned event starting/finishing at the Anthem Trailhead (1120 W Desert Hills Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85086). There are no entry fees or prizes. Ride time will be recorded only as a comparison to others. It is up to participants to understand the route and be responsible for their navigation, health, and to abide by local regulations. Please review the rules on the event site prior to registering and be area of the regional park open/close hours.
