2020 Salsa Fatbikes Released

Similar to 2019 fatbike rollout, Salsa’s 2020 fatbike lineup features its three flagship models: Beargrease, Mukluk, and Blackborow. For 2020 they each got new color schemes and build kits. Here are all the details:

2020 Salsa BEARGREASE (27.5″ fatbike)

Ultra Endurance / Fat Bike Racing / Singletrack

Beargrease is Salsa’s light and numble fatbike suited for everything from snowy endurance races to long-distance bikepacking trips. Built with a super-light, carbon frame and fork, and the sure-footed rollover of 27.5 x 4″ wheels and tires, it’s designed to cover challenging terrain quickly.

2020 Beargrease Features Include

• 27.5 x 4.0″ wheels and tires on 80mm rims
• Clearance for up to 26 x 4.6″ tires in the rear and 26 x 5″ in the front
• Kingpin fork features four sets of Three-Pack mounts
• Compatible with 170/177 Alternator rear rack

• Internal sleeved cable routing
• 1x-specific frame design

The 2020 Salsa Beargrease is available in five build kits: Beargrease Carbon X01 Eagle (blue/orange model shown at top); and (left to right above) Beargrease Carbon GX Eagle, Beargrease Carbon NX Eagle, Beargrease Carbon SX Eagle, and Beargrease Carbon SX Eagle. Mukluk is Salsa’s versatile fatbike, designed and built to excel in a wide variety of conditions.

• Accommodates 27.5″ and 29″ wheels
• 1x or 2x drivetrain compatible
• Alternator dropouts allow for singlespeed drivetrain

• One down tube mount for bottles or accessories

Blackborow is back for 2020 with a new colorway. With huge carrying capacity via abundant frame and fork braze-ons, and room for four full-sized panniers on the custom engineered rear rack, this bike is made to fill in your list of “It sure would be awesome to…” expeditions.
