The 2020 Salsa Warbird was just announced with GRX/Apex build kits and new color schemes, but no new 650B option. Find details on all of the new builds and colors here…

Salsa Cycles just introduced new models into their 2020 Warbird lineup. There are four new build kits, each with 700c wheels and tires. For whatever reason, Salsa decided to refrain from offering a new 650B build, which I was a little surprised by after enjoying that configuration while riding one during our review period last year. But fret not, the current 650B build is still a part of their lineup and will continue to be available, according to Salsa. You can also pick up a frameset for $1,999 and build it up in road plus mode, should you be interested. All told, there are 11 Warbird models available.

As for paint, Salsa introduced new pink, gloss black, dark blue, powder blue, and off white schemes, each with various color splashes in the typical “midwest gravel” motif. Note that you can still get a matte black frameset, too.

Otherwise, the 2020 Salsa Warbird frame hasn’t changed. It still has clearance for 700C x 45mm and 650B x 51mm (27.5 x 2.0″) tires. Other features include the Class 5 VRS system, seven pairs of bottle mounts (two of which are three-pack), a Waxwing Deluxe fork with three pack mounts, and race+tour geometry. They all are specced with Teravail 700c x 42mm Cannonball tires, Cowbell drop bars, and WTB Volt saddles. Here are a few details on each of the builds.
