Endura’s foul weather MT500 range has been overhauled with improved fit, updated designs, and new colours. Find their launch video and details on the new MT500 Jacket, Waterproof Onesie II, Trouser, and Shorts here…

Now in its fourth generation, the Endura MT500 range is a feature-packed line designed to handle some of the harshest conditions you can experience by bike. The majority of the line is 100% waterproof and offers exceptional breathability, which certainly falls in line for the Scotland-based brand. Last year, I had the chance to test out their MT500 Waterproof Jacket, MT500 Spray Trouser II, and the MT500 Plus Overshoe, and was very impressed with their quality and attention to detail. Read that here. Endura has updated some of their best selling MT500 items, including the MT500 Waterproof Jacket, MT500 Waterproof Onesie, and their MT500 Waterproof Shorts and Trousers. Watch Endura’s interesting launch video, followed by details on each, below.

Endura MT500 Waterproof Jacket

The Endura MT500 Waterproof Jacket is one their best selling items, and for good reason. It’s 100% waterproof, durable, and exceptionally breathable, making it equally ideal for both multi-day bikepacking trips and foul weather day rides. They’ve maintained the large assortment of pockets, venting options, adjustable hood, and both men’s and women’s sizing. The fit is now slightly slimmer, the front pockets have two-way zips to double as vents, and the hood can be be worn over a helmet or without a helmet on for added versatility. The MT500 Waterproof Jacket has also been updated to the new ExoShell40DR fabric, which is said to be more durable than the previous version. As with all of Endura’s waterproofs, ExoShell40DR is treated with an environmentally friendly PFC-free DWR treatment.

The previous version of the MT500 Waterproof Jacket that I tested was quite impressive. Although it isn’t my most packable waterproof jacket, the various vents, pockets, and overall durability are definitely suited for bikepacking in wet environments. I could see it being a great option for those heading out on longer bikepacking trips in higher elevation areas where weather can be a bit more unpredictable. Read my full review here.

Endura MT500 Waterproof Onesie

Although it might not be our first choice for bikepacking, the Endura MT500 Waterproof Onesie II might just be the best defense against the wettest days imaginable. The onesie maintains a one-piece split front design, but the ‘tail’ of the jacket now extends further down and has a more separated jacket and pants look rather than a traditional onesie. The rear area of the onesie also receives improved waterproofing.

The entire MT500 Collection is supported by Endura’s 90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee, which allows for a “no-quibble refund or replacement within 90 days of purchase.”
