Quebec-based Panorama Cycles has a unique approach to their bike graphics, and it’s one we’ve really been appreciating. They partner with an artist to create one of a kind artwork for the downtube of each frame, which in most cases pays tribute to the beauty of a specific place or animal that’s important to them. I think it’s a great way to set their bikes apart from the rest, and so far they all look pretty solid. The updated Chic-Chocs fat bike still uses artwork from Vancouver-based artists (and cyclists) Steve and Sandy Pell of Pellvetica and is a tribute to the Atlantic caribou—one of the eight mammals threatened with extinction in Canada.

The 2021 Chic-Chocs sees a huge redesign, featuring a completely new frame and the addition of top tube mounts, joining the three bottle mounts, Anything Cage mounts on the fork legs, and rear rack bosses. The Q-factor (the distance between the pedals) has also been narrowed to the smallest possible distance while still clearing 27.5 x 4.5″ tires, which should help keep riders feeling more natural while pedalling. The Chic-Chocs now comes stock with a Race Face Aeffect R dropper seat post, thanks to customer feedback, and a 12-speed SRAM GX-Eagle drivetrain for a massive 520% range. And how about that massive main triangle that’s just begging for a gigantic frame bag? Although it comes with some meaty 27.5 X 4.5″ Terrene Cake Eater tires, the Chic-Chocs is also compatible with 26 x 5″ and 29 x 3″ tires for added versatility. Find the complete build kit below.
