Evolution Gravel Race is an 850-kilometer point-to-point gravel stage race from the Ngorongoro Crater to the Swahili Coast in Tanzania. The Fernwee crew recently published a two-part video series documenting their experience. Watch them both and find an accompanying set of photos here…

The Evolution Gravel Race is a unique 850-kilometer gravel stage race with a mandatory 12-hour stop in the middle. Running from the Ngorongoro Crater to the Swahili Coast in Tanzania, the route features long and flat stages over smooth, fast gravel as well as mountainous stages with steep climbs. Before arriving at the Indian Ocean, competitors will have climbed more than 10,000 meters and traveled through plains, national parks, Mt. Kilimanjaro, rainforests, and many local villages. Mike and Martijn of Fernwee participated in this year’s event and captured footage along the way. They recently published two videos from the event, and you can watch them both below.
