Marin Mountain Bikes Inc. from Petaluma, California, just announced an updated version of their popular Four Corners 1 platform. The Four Corners model has been around in Marin’s lineup for decades and was reinvented as a modern adventure tourer in 2016 to coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary. They describe the Four Corners models as stout steel tourers with “a big sense of adventure [that] have propelled riders on journeys as diverse as the weekday commute to transcontinental excursions.”

For 2024, the revised Marin Four Corners sees tweaked geometry with .5° slacker headtube angles and 10mm shorter headtubes, seat tubes that can accommodate dropper post routing, wider handlebars across the size range, and more frame mounts (two above and three below the top tube). Frames can now clear up to 45mm tires, and all sizes will roll out on 40mm rubber. They haven’t changed the tall headtube, which offers an upright, all-day riding position, and the builds still feature a thoughtful mix of affordable and reliable components, including a wide-range 3×9 Shimano Sora drivetrain and cable-actuated Tektro Spyre-C brakes.
