Logan’s all-time favorite bike touring shoes, the Five Ten Guide Tennies, are finally back and feature an updated design, improved grip and cushioning, and more. Learn all about the new Guide Tennies and Guide Tennies Pro here…
At their core, the Five Ten Guide Tennies are approach shoes, but as Logan proved after riding, walking, and traveling nearly 4,000 miles in his, they might also be the ultimate bike travel shoes. They’ve been unavailable for years, and it’s exciting to see them make a comeback. The new launch includes the Guide Tennies and Guide Tennies Pro. Find details on both below.
Five Ten Guide Tennie
The new Guide Tennies feature a similar dual-zone STEALTH rubber outsole found on Five Ten’s mountain bike shoes, designed to offer grip across a range of surfaces and uses, including hiking and biking. There’s also a STEALTH C4 rubber climbing zone on toe and a solid 90° edge for rock climbing—if your bikepacking adventures sometimes lead to multi-sport adventures. The body has a perforated hexagon design for breathability and flexibility, which Five Ten says allows the shoes to be tightened down more for climbing.
Five Ten Guide Tennies Pro
The Guide Tennies Pro share all the same specs but add in an EVA midsole for improved cushioning and a GORE-TEX liner to keep your feet dry in less-than-ideal conditions. Everything else remains the same, including the sole design, fit, and lace-up closure.
The Guide Tennies and Guide Tennies Pro are available today for $165 to $200 directly from Adidas.com as well as REI, Backcountry, and select independent outdoor retailers.
