Velo Orange launched new colors in four of their current models: the Chessie, Rando, Polyvalent, and Lowkicker. Though the changes are primarily aesthetic, a few of their bikes have been tweaked for greater cargo carrying capacity and ease of use. Explore all the details here…
Teased at this year’s bike expo in Philly, the 2026 Velo Orange frames have officially landed with new colors and minor changes. Igor Shteynbuk, owner and operator of the Baltimore-based brand, got the shipment in yesterday and made the announcement. While most of the updates are aesthetic, one or two frames received tweaks to mounts and geometry. Let’s dive into the specifics to see what’s new.
Chessie
One of the most significant changes to the gravel bike I reviewed last year is the addition of a third mounting eyelet on the underside of the downtube. It was one of my biggest criticisms of Chessie at the time, and one I’m happy to see rectified. It makes a good, affordable gravel bike even better, and adds another position for a water bottle or cargo cage.
The change comes with a new color, Shoreline Sand, and an additional rack position on the seatstay at the rear of the bike. They’ve also swapped out the clamshell-style cable stops for polished, bolt-on aluminum cable clips along the downtube.
The 2026 Chessie retails for $950 and can be found at VeloOrange.com.
Low Kicker
The Low Kicker is the other model seeing more than just a new paint job. In addition to the new sparkling red color, it’s been altered to accommodate the requests from customers and riders for a slightly better fit. By dropping the seat tube so that more riders can fit, the bike’s overall length and front end remain largely the same, while making it more comfortable for those with limited mobility.
The 2026 Low Kicker retails for $969 and can be found at VeloOrange.com.
Polyvalent and Rando
Both the Polyvalent, their low-trail touring bike, and the Rando, their road bike, have received new colors and minor updates. While the Polyvalent gets a cool Hedgerow Green paint job, the Rando sees two new colors and added mounts. The road bike’s two new colors are Bonfire Fade and Night Sky, and the new mounts are similar to those added to Chessie, with eyelets added underneath the downtube and a new rack mount on the seat stay.
The 2026 Polyvalent retails for $969 and can be found at VeloOrange.com, while the Rando retails for $950 and can be found at VeloOrange.com.
