45NRTH took all the great qualities of our favorite winter cycling glove, the Sturmfist 5, and wrapped it in leather. Check out the 45NRTH Sturmfist 5 LTR here…

The 45NTH Sturmfist 5 is my go-to glove for the cold days of winter here in the southeast. Temps can hover around freezing in the depths of December, January, and February, and it’s proven to be the perfect glove for riding in such conditions. The new LTR version takes all the functionality of the softshell Sturmfist 5 that I’ve come to love and wraps it in supple Durable Water-Resistant (DWR) distressed goat leather. Find photos and specs below.

The 45NRTH Sturmfist 5 LTR will be available mid-November in X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, and 2X-Large sizes and is rated for temps from 15°F (-9°C) to 35°F (2°C). Unfortunately, it has the fairly hefty price tag of $115 (the regular Sturmfist 5 is $85), so it definitely won’t be for everyone. With that, we hope it’s a glove that will last through a decade of use—for the record, I’ve been using my regular Sturmfist 5 for about four winter seasons and they’re holding up quite well.
