The Gravel Suitcase is the newest bikepacking bag from 7Roads (@7r_bags), a two-person bikepacking bag manufacture based in Kovel, Ukraine. It was designed with 7Roads’ own front rack in mind but is compatible with a wide variety of small front racks (see some of our recommendations here) that have a platform width of at least 22cm. If you’re using a narrower rack, 7Roads can also customize the bag to work with your rack for a small fee. It attaches to the handlebars using two webbing straps, and an additional loop around the rack’s tombstone provides extra security on bumpy terrain.

The heat-welded, waterproof bag made of TPU-covered Cordura features a long flap with elastic cords outside and a zippered pocket underneath, a large interior storage compartment with a roll-top closure and built-in organizers, and optional external pockets for small items like tubes, multi-tools, and snacks. A removable plastic insert helps the Gravel Suitcase keep its shape and an optional shoulder strap allows it to easily convert into a day bag for use off the bike.

The Gravel Suitcase’s dimensions are 24cm wide by 23cm deep by 22cm high (9.4″ x 9″ x 8.6″) and it has a maximum capacity of 17L. The approximate weight of the bag itself—without shoulder straps or pockets—is about 820 grams. Buyers who get in on the pre-order for the first batch of bags can save 15% (for a total of €145 to €202 depending on options) and choose custom colors. The lead time is around 8-10 weeks, but Elena and Stanislav of 7Roads say they’ll do their best to deliver bags even faster.
