Following our rigs roundup, Olympic athlete Alistair Brownlee posted a video documenting the Scott gravel bike he’s currently riding in this years BADLANDS race…

As ultra-endurance bikepacking events grow in popularity, the sport attracts more and more professional athletes from other disciplines. 2019 and 2020 saw professional road cyclist Lachlan Morton take center stage in events such as GBduro and the BADLANDS in southern Spain, where he won the event overall. This year, BADLANDS drew in two-time gold medal winning Olympic triathlete Alistair Brownlee. The 33-year-old from Dewsbury, UK was off to a good start this morning and currently holds 9th place in the race at the time of this writing. Although his rig didn’t get sent in time to make our BADLANDS rig roundup on Friday, Brownlee posted a video documenting his Scott gravel bike and accompanying gear. Watch it below, then skip over to our 2021 BADLANDS Tracker to follow the race live.
