Our friend Johannes Wandinger of Alonukis Frameworks in Germany is offering heavily discounted frames with matching bags to three ultra-endurance bikepacking racers. Find details on this unique opportunity to be part of the Alonukis Endurance Race Team here…

Johannes Wandinger is a talented young framebuilder and bag maker based at the foot of the Bavarian Alps in the small town of Murnau am Staffelsee, Germany. Josh Meissner and I met him during our coverage of last year’s Bespoked Dresden show, where his exceptional work blew us away. And just this week, we shared two more of his bikes from 2025 Bespoked Manchester, including his purpose-built ultra-racing rig.

Today, we’re excited to share the news that Johannes is seeking three sponsored riders as part of the Alonukis ERT (Endurance Race Team) for the 2025 season. There are no limitations on who can apply, and folks of all genders, ages, and experience levels are welcome as long as they have a serious interest in racing. Selected riders will be able to purchase a substantially discounted frame and will also receive a full set of matching bags.

Normally priced at 2,200 euros, the three custom Alonukis ERT frames will cost sponsored riders just 600 euros. Being a small one-person operation, Johannes said he’s not yet in a position to offer framesets free of charge, but he hopes the arrangement will be a balanced and respectful cooperation for selected riders. As such, this opportunity isn’t intended to be a quick giveaway. Rather, it’s something more meaningful.

Being racing-specific, the Alonukis ERT frames have fewer features than a fully equipped bikepacking frame and follow a more essentialist culture. Frames will be individually built with custom geometry for team riders, who can choose their RAL color and a small personalized graphic. The custom-built bags on offer include a half or full framebag, two large stem bags, and a large top tube bag, all made with waterproof zippers and X-Pac fabric.

Specifications of the ERT frames include 29 x 2.4″ tire clearance, Boost spacing, a BSA 73mm bottom bracket, 44mm headtube, compatibility with a 100mm suspension or suspension-corrected rigid fork, 31.6mm seatpost for a 34.9/35mm seatpost clamp, external cable routing, dropper post compatibility, sliding dropouts (UDH possible), and post or flat brake mount.

Application

To apply, simply send Johannes a message via the Alonukis Frameworks Instagram account to express your interest and begin the conversation. The deadline for applications is May 16th, and selected team riders will be announced on May 23rd. Depending on complexity, frames and bags should be shipped out worldwide by July 15th.
