Hannah Simon has been busy lately! Recently, she joined the Chumba team and geared up for a busy 2024 bikepacking season. This video follows Hannah during her first few months working as a framebuilding production assistant at Chumba and riding the bike she helped build in the Atlas Mountain Race. Watch it here…

In late December 2023, Hannah Simon became a production assistant with Chumba, quickly advancing her framebuilding skills and helping fabricate her Sendero Titanium MTB and Terlingua Steel gravel bikes in preparation for the 2024 bikepacking season. So far this year, she’s tackled the Atlas Mountain Race (AMR) in Morocco with the Sendero, securing third place in the 1300km race, then competed in Midsouth (third singlespeed), the East TX Showdown 400 (first place), DOOM 400 (second), and the inaugural Rule of Three 200. Later this year, Hannah will travel to Kyrgyzstan to race the 1,938-kilometer Silk Road Mountain Race. Chumba just sent over this video featuring Hannah talking about the framebuilding process and racing the AMR.

As you can see in our Rigs of the 2024 Atlas Mountain Race, Hanna’s titanium Chumba Sendero is decked out with a Cane Creek Helm MKII Air, 29×2.3″ Ehlines from Teravail, GX AXS, and Magura MT8 brakes. Bags are from South City Stitchworks and include a full frame bag and saddle roll for all the essentials, and double feed bags and a full-length top tube bag for all the snacks.
