A reader just sent over this video from 1940s England, dug up from the British Council’s Vimeo archive, that shows the design and manufacturing process of Raleigh bicycles from raw steel to finished product. It’s a surprisingly enthralling video that depicts a bygone era of bicycle manufacturing (which isn’t all bad, given the complete lack of health and safety provisions on display).
