Next week, in celebration of its 100th episode, the Bikes or Death podcast is hosting a live recording with the Lachuga family in Springdale, Arkansas. Learn more here…

First off, a huge congratulations to Patrick Farnsworth of Bikes or Death for reaching 100 episodes. Patrick launched the podcast in November 2018—an idea that was born over a beer with a friend—and he’s been hustling ever since. We published an interview with Patrick to learn more about the podcast in April 2019, and at the time he had just six episodes under his belt. Since then, he’s had many noteworthy guests, including Alexandera Houchin, Chris Burkard, Lael Wilcox, Leo Rodgers, Pepper Cook, and more. While Patrick does a great job of interviewing folks who are well known in the bicycle world, he doesn’t fail to recognize the lesser-known folks who are making things happen too.

Lechuga Arkansas High Country Race

For the 100th episode, Patrick is hosting a live event with the entire Lechuga family (Scotti, Ernie, and their twin 10-year-old boys Ethan and Eli). Scotti and Ernie are perhaps best known for their recent accomplishments at the Arkansas High Country Race, but they’ve also created an adventurous family that will be at the focus of the discussion. They just finished participating in JayP’s Fat Pursuit Camp in Idaho and will be taking on the 200-kilometre Fat Pursuit race on Friday, so you can expect to hear more about that as well.
