The new BlackHeart Bike Co. Gravel AL is a race-inspired gravel bike with an aero design, clearance for 700 x 47mm tires, and an ENVE carbon fork. It’s available in eight sizes and a dizzying array of more than 130 colors. Find essential details and photos here…
Joining the range alongside their titanium and aluminum Road and Allroad models, the new Gravel AL is what California-based BlackHeart Bike Co. calls a “purebred gravel bike with aero touches, meant to compete head-to-head with the latest breed of carbon gravel race bikes.” The BlackHeart Gravel AL builds on their Road Ti design with its gently sloping and flared top tube, aero downtube, dropped seatstay, and internal routing but features revised geometry and a reworked rear triangle that can clear 700 x 47mm tires.
BlackHeart’s Gravel AL is built from 7005 double-butted tubing and sports a T47 bottom bracket, a round 31.6mm seatpost, and a SRAM UDH rear derailleur hanger. It’s optimized for 1x or 2x electronic groupsets (including SRAM Transmission), but it’ll also work with 1x mechanical groups. The frame features three bottle mounts, fender mounts, and three-pack cargo mounts on the ENVE carbon fork. In size 58cm, the frame has a 71.5° HTA, 74° STA, 412mm reach, 585mm stack, and 73mm BB drop.
Customers can choose from a massive range of Cerakote frame and logo colors, and the fork can be color matched for an additional $200. Frames are priced at $1,999 including custom frame/paint colors, and complete builds are available from $3,199. BlackHeart is offering the Gravel AL in eight sizes (46, 49, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62) to fit riders from 5’0″ to 6’7″ tall. The weight for a size 54 with paint is 1,660 grams.
