The Bontrager Avert “Adventure” Mountain Bike Shoe is a new cycling shoe that looks to offer several bikepacking-friendly features. The clipless-compatible mountain bike shoe is based around a durable, weather resistant, and breathable Cordura and suede upper that is said to be comfortable and suitable for all-day use. The sole uses reverse lugs for added traction and a shock-absorbing EVA midsole that’s easy on the legs. The Avert Shoe uses a simple yet robust lace-up closure, and the slip-on construction is easy to use and ensures the tongue stays put.
