We’re excited to unveil two new applications on the website that we just finished up and put into production. You can use Bucket List to save routes and overnighters that you want to ride to your profile and Route Log to check off routes you’ve ridden! Learn more here…

Bucket List, a new tool just introduced to our bikepacking routes and overnighters library, allows logged-in members to add routes to their personal Bucket List and access that list at any time within the member portal area. This functionality just launched this morning, and we’re already planning future additions that will utilize this data once it has some time to accumulate. That includes the ability to see which routes are among the community’s top picks, etc.

Similar to the Bucket List, Route Log allows members to check off routes they’ve completed. We’re excited about this functionality as it will also allow us to use that data in the future to display routes based on popularity. For example, once we’ve gathered enough user input, we can display “most ridden routes” as a sorting function on the site. We have a few other ideas in mind for ways to use the data to improve routes and user experience for everyone, too.

Members, when you get a chance, please go in and check off the routes you’ve ridden and add ones that you;d like to ride to your Bucket List. This will help build a valuable data set so we can further develop these applications. Thanks!

More to come… stay tuned! And if you’re interested in joining the Bikepacking Collective to sustain the content we provide on the site, grow the bikepacking community, and help develop new bikepacking routes, click here. We’re a largely member-supported site, and BIKEPACKING.com wouldn’t exist without the backing of our Collective.
