We’ve been enjoying following the Bangkok-based crew behind Buffalo Bag on Instagram (@buffalo.bag.th) for some time now, and were excited to see that they made the big step of launching an online shop earlier this week. The relatively new brand, run by a small group of bikepackers and self-proclaimed bike nerds, currently offers three different bag models in a variety of sizes, and all are fully customizable to suit your color preferences. BIG BUFFALO X-PAC VX07
Available in three sizes and eight different colors, the Big Buffalo X-Pac VX07 is modeled after a traditional saddlebag and can be run up front or in back, with or without a rack. As the name suggests, it’s constructed from X-Pac VX07 material with a 210pu ripstop inner liner, a 1.5mm HDPE sheet for stability and structure, Duraflex buckles, and 2″ velcro straps for attaching to the bike. Pricing is $230 USD for the 6/18L small, $243 USD for the 18/36L medium, and $250 USD for the 20/40L large. Find additional product details here.
BIG BUFFALO CANVAS
The Big Buffalo Canvas is a more affordable sibling to the X-Pac version and is available with all the same features, sizes, and color combinations. Pricing is $138 USD for the 6/18L small, $150 USD for the 18/36L medium, and $163 USD for the 20/40L large. Find more details here.
BUFF BASKET
The Buff Basket is Buffalo Bag’s take on the Wald basket bag, which we love around here (see our Gear Index of Handmade Basket Bags, which we’ll be sure to update with the Buff Basket). It’s available in two different sizes to suit the Wald 137 and 139 baskets. And just like the Big Buffalo bags, all colors are customizable. The Buff Basket is made from a 16oz canvas fabric with a 210pu ripstop lining, a shoulder strap made from 2″ car seat belt fabric, and four velcro straps that secure it to your basket. Ordering and More Details
The current turnaround for a Buffalo Bags is around 7-15 days and all ordering can be done via the downloadable order form on their site, which also allows you to choose the fabric colors for each panel.
