In 2019, California’s Camp And Go Slow took the handlebar tape scene by storm with its rattlesnake tape. Owned and operated by Casey Clark, Camp And Go Slow has expanded its offerings since then to include bar end plugs, patches, shirts, socks, and three handlebar tape options, all inspired by animals in the eastern Sierra Nevadas. The lineup currently includes the Brown Trout tape, Eastern Rattler Tape, and Western Rattler Tape. Camp And Go Slow bar tape lovers will be excited to gear there’s a new tape option available: Great Horned Owl Tape!

Like the other tapes, the Camp And Go Slow Great Horned Owl handlebar tape is 3,300mm long, making it suitable for wide and flared drop bars. It features a 1.5mm foam backing and includes a US-made ripstop bag but doesn’t come with bar end plugs or finishing tape. The handlebar tape itself is made in Taiwan, and the included bag is cut and made in Seattle, Washington.

Here’s some insight into the new tape style from Casey: “The newest tape is a nod to the great horned owl (aka the hoot owl, aka Bubo virginianus). Before the wildfire that burned us over, we had a pair nesting in a tree near our cabin, and they used to sing us to sleep at night. Four years later, they’re finally back, so we gave them a pro model.”

The Great Horned Owl tape is available now and costs $44 USD. Plugs are also available for $12/set. Grab yours at CampAndGoSlow.com.
