Cane Creek’s all-new Thudbuster ST suspension seatpost features 50mm of travel, a 330-pound rider weight limit, tool-free adjustment, and more. Find the details on the latest evolution of the Thudbuster lineup here…

Continuing their 20-year suspension seatpost legacy, Cane Creek just announced the latest iteration in the Thudbuster lineup, the all-new Thudbuster ST (Short Travel). Designed with commutes and e-bike trips in mind, it features 50mm of travel—up from 33mm on the original Thudbuster ST—to smooth out bumps and bounces on multi-surface rides.

Building on the Thudbuster’s parallel linkage technology, the new Thudbuster ST has seen a complete redesign for a higher rider weight limit (now up to 330 pounds), increased durability, and more travel. Plus, with the new tool-free, interchangeable elastomer system and single bolt seat clamp, it’s now easier to dial in the ride feel based on your weight and preferred saddle position.

This short video shows the new Thudbuster ST in use around town, though we could also see it being a lot of fun on singletrack and rough dirt roads:

Weighing in at 580g (31.6 version), the post is built out of forged aluminum with threaded, hard anodized aluminum axles. Note that the new axles are serviceable, unlike those found in the previous version. This handy PDF from Cane Creek outlines the differences between the two versions of the Thudbuster ST.
