In case you missed it, Tour Divide rookie Chris Seistrup was the first to cross the finish at Antelope Wells. Congrats Chris! Here are the details and a few photos by Eddie Clark…
A big congratulations to 38 year-old Chris Seistrup from Prescott, AZ, winner of the 2019 Tour Divide! Chris arrived at the finish in Antelope Wells at 7:29 PM on June 29th, clocking a race time of 15 days, 11 hrs, and 24 minutes—a very impressive race time considering the conditions this year, and the fact that Chris was Tour Divide rookie.
Riding for Save One Life, Chris accomplished his goal of becoming the first person with hemophilia to ride the entire Tour Divide. Chris pedaled a Binary Bicycles SuperB XC, with the Lauf fork and full XTR 1×11 drivetrain. For bags, he carried a full set from Oveja Negra, including a Snack Pack, two Chuckbuckets, a Gear Jammer seat pack, the Front End Loader handlebar system, and a Super Wedgie frame pack.
