It’s no secret that we love using humble wire baskets to haul stuff on a bike, and one of the most interesting recent solutions for doing so is the To Go Box from Take a Trip in Bend, Oregon. With versions sized to fit either a Wald 137 or Wald 139 basket, the To Go Box consists of a hinged lid and a custom-fit liner that work together to open up a broad range of basketpacking options. The To Go Box’s removable lid features a water-resistant zipper pocket for storing miscellaneous essentials and a shock cord for lashing on items. It has a rigid plastic stiffener inside that enables users to stack items on top. Adjustable cam straps expand to help fit around cargo of all shapes and sizes. In the lower half, the liner secures snugly to your basket with snap hooks and shields cargo from the elements. Pleated pockets offer a little extra storage, and a center drain hole helps standing water escape if you’re running the To Go Box in convertible mode. Made from 18-ounce vinyl-coated polyester, it’s easy to wipe down if it gets dirty. The To Go Box is available in a wide variety of colors/materials in two sizes with or without a lid.
