Following our recent review of the impressively lightweight Mountain Laurel Designs Poco Panniers, we’re giving away a set for our 221st Collective Reward. Learn more about the lightest fully waterproof panniers we’ve tested and support the site for a chance to win here…

Founded by Ron Bell in 2002, Mountain Laurel Designs, or MLD for short, has always been obsessed with technical fabrics. The V3 Poco Panniers embrace this approach with a hybrid construction of Challenge Sailcloth Ultra X and X-Pac RX30, shedding weight where possible without sacrificing durability and abrasion resistance. They’re lightweight, waterproof, and stable, and frankly, it’s difficult to find small panniers that stack up against the redesigned Mountain Laurel Designs Poco Panniers.

We’re excited to be giving away one lucky Bikepacking Collective member a pair of Poco Panniers for our next Collective Reward giveaway, valued at $225. The panniers feature a rear HDPE stiffener panel with a carbon wand that adds stability and structure to their backside. To help maintain the their shape and reduce bulging, a front carbon fiber wand is sewn into the pannier. They use a simple yet effective roll-top closure, and all internal seams are finished using the new Ultra TNT tape.

Instead of using rack hooks or rubber straps, the Poco Panniers attach to your rack using small velcro loops and two webbing straps (one strap and one ladder-loc buckle on each pannier) that loop over the rack rails and attach to the opposite pannier. A short length of daisy chain webbing, located near the bottom of the pannier, serves as the lower attachment point. MLD provides two 12″ bungees with mini carabiner clips to secure the bottom of the panniers to the lower rack, and they can also be held in place with the included velcro, webbing straps, or Nano Voile Straps.
