REI’s New Co-op Cycles DRT 4.1 Fat Bike

REI’s house brand, Co-op Cycles, just released their first fat bike and at first glance it looks pretty promising. It’s centred around an aluminum frame and fork, Innova 26 x 4.8″ tires, and a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain. As a more affordable option, it’s nice to see front and rear thru-axles and Shimano Acera MT-400 hydraulic disc brakes—leaving little to be desired considering it’s price tag. What caught our attention was its massive main triangle, which is begging for a frame bag, as well as the triple pack mounts on the fork legs.

The Co-op Cycles DRT 4.1 Fat Bike is offered in three sizes (X-Small, Medium, and Large), and the medium weighs 39 pounds. The frame is only available in the colourway pictured, which REI is calling Terra. Here’s the full build kit:
