Introducing the Detour Cloud Cap from Ass Savers and Gramm

Dreamed up as an essential piece of apparel for those moments on the bike when you’re desperate for shade, the latest addition to the Ass Savers Detour Collection is a bold (and possibly brilliant) cycling cap that features a built-in satin neckcloth to protect your neck from the scorching sun while you’re out riding. The Detour Cloud Cap is a collaboration with Berlin-based bag makers, Gramm Tourpacking, who share Ass Savers’s philosophy of making things themselves when there’s no existing option on the market.

The design features a colorful mix of purple and pink that the brands describe as “a light and dreamy cloud print that will look great on anyone who dares to wear it.” The attached neckcloth is intended to serve the dual purpose of blocking the sun and creating a bit of airflow in a slight breeze. Plus, as a little bonus, the print should do an exceptional job of camouflaging sweat stains—perfect for formal occasions in your Cloud Cap.

The Detour Cloud Cap is a fully EU-made product, with the 100% polyester caps produced in Italy, the satin neck scarves made in the Czech Republic, and the two stitched together in the Gramm workshop in Berlin. It’s available in a single size and retails for €29 ($34). Note that not too many of these were produced, so they’re likely to sell out before long.

Detour Cloud Cap on the Silk Road
