The new Dyed in the Wool Core Collection consists of pared-down versions of existing bags, allowing for more affordable price points for a wider audience. Check out the entire lineup here…

When Poland-based bag maker Dyed in the Wool (DITW) set out to offer a more affordable line of bags, there were faced with two options: outsource production and have more unknowns due to the complexities of overseas factories or make the bags in-house but distill them to their core functionality. They landed on option two.

The Dyed in the Wool Core Collection consists of a Wedge Frame Bag, Bar Bag, Top Tube Bag, and Weekend Bag (large handlebar bag). They are all more affordable versions of existing bags in their lineup, replacing costlier materials and features with more affordable substitutions or subbing them out completely. The collection is available in a Black TPU Coated 600D Ballistic Nylon or a Golden Rust fabric for some pop. And, for the first time, these bags won’t have a lead time like their custom bags. All trim, zips, fabric, and fasteners are sourced locally, with 90% coming from producers within 300 kilometers of their studio outside of Warsaw.

Dyed in the Wool Core Collection

Core Wedge Bag (99€): A wedge-style frame bag that comes in three size options, leaving room for a bottle on the seat tube on most frames. It comes with a cam-lock attachment, water-resistant Alpha zipper, a non-drive-side pocket, and an electronic/bladder port.

Core Bar Bag (60€): A lightweight burrito-style handlebar bag for ride essentials. There are smaller side pockets for tools and snack wrappers, reflective piping along the front, a reflective logo, and shoulder strap loops for off-bike use.

Core TT Bag (55€): A simple top tube bag made from the same 600D Cordura as the rest of the lineup. The bottom of the bag is reinforced with high-density foam, there is a small electronic port, and it’s finished with a reflective logo for visibility.

Core Weekend Bag (129€): The Weekend Bag is an affordable version of their popular XL bar bag. It has a generous 11L capacity, uses a roll-top closure, two side pockets, shoulder strap attachment, and the bag is expandable thanks to the roll-top. The bag is reinforced with high-density foam and HDPE plastic, there are reflective details, and like the other bags, it’s lined with a waterproof Oxford fabric.
