Ergon had a few upcoming products on display at Eurobike over the weekend, and the new Ergon GMS grips caught our eye, which are set to replace the popular GA3 grips this fall. Get the full scoop here…

Ergon had a handful of interesting upcoming products on display at Eurobike in Germany this past weekend, including an expanded bar tape collection, new bike-fitting tools, and more grips, but it was the new GMS grip that grabbed our attention as something we’re eager to get our hands on.

The Ergon GMS grips will replace the GA3 grips, a top pick among bikepackers and a personal favorite of mine. Like the GA3, the GMS grips feature a supportive mini-wing that increases their contact area, distributing pressure more evenly across the palm and providing direct wrist support. The mini-wing itself has been reshaped with a more consistent outer contour with a curved profile that Ergon says enhances pressure distribution and control. Neil and I both got to check out a pre-production version at Sea Otter earlier this year, and I’m very excited for the update.

The GMS grips are made with GravityControl Rubber, with increased cushioning toward the outer palm and more compact spacing near the clamp. The GMS is available in two sizes: small (31mm) and large (33mm). Both sizes are available in a range of colors: Black, Chili Red, Juicy Orange, Slay Grey, Nightride Blue, Sage Green, and Lunar Lilac.

The GMS will be available online and at your local Ergon dealer this September, and will retail for €34.95/£32.99, or around $40 USD. Stay tuned for more; we’ll share our thoughts on how they compare to the GA3 grips soon.
