Boa-Equipped EVOC Bikepacking Bags

EVOC Sports, a German company best known for its mountain bike focussed backpacks and bike travel bags, just announced a lineup of rather innovative looking bikepacking bags. The two most interesting pieces in the range are the Handlebar Pack Boa and the Seat Pack Boa. Both use Boa Fit system dial to attach the bags to the bike, a first of its kind mounting mechanism. Here are all the details with pricing and availability;

EVOC SEAT PACK Boa

The new EVOC Seat Pack Boa is a completely waterproof, minimalist saddle bag made of an abrasion-resistant material. It uses the a Boa twist lock attachment system to connect at the seatpost and two velcro straps to secure it to the seat rails. I might be a little concerned with just velcro on the rails, but the bag is rather small, and according to EVOC, it stays firmly in place and can be easily attached to normal seat posts or dropper posts, as well as aero seat posts.

The bag features a roll-top opening at the rear of the main compartment which can be rolled tightly or just a couple times, providing the bag a variable amount of storage space. The EVOC Seat Pack Boa os available in S, M, or L versions in Loam or Carbon Grey colors (large Carbon Grey shown above). While they aren’t the largest bags out there (see specs below), we’ll be curious to see what they can fit.

EVOC HANDLEBAR PACK Boa

The EVOC Handlebar Pack Boa is a waterproof handlebar roll with a twist lock Boa Fit System that attaches directly to the handlebars using a single dial the tightens two straps. According to EVOC, the Handlebar Pack is designed to carry additional equipment for longer tours in a stable system. The molded handlebar clamp is designed to move the bag outward enough to clear cables. Roll closures at each end allow you to adjust the bag’s volume and quickly access equipment from both sides.

The EVOC Handlebar Pack Boa is available in Carbon Grey or Loam in M or L sizes. Like the seat pack, it appears fairly small. The 5L large version is about half the claimed volume of a size small Revelate Sweet Roll. That said, in our experience, these measurements are often inconsistent from manufacturer to manufacturer, so we’d be curious to get our hands on one for a test.

EVOC TOP TUBE PACK

The EVOC Top Tube Pack is pretty straightforward aside from one unique feature. It has a power port on the side of the bag designed to allow a wire to pass through for charging various devices. This provides a way to charge your GPS or light directly from the pack while keeping your cache battery out of the weather.

The Top Tube Pack is made of abrasion-resistant and water-repellent material and can be attached with variable Velcro fasteners, via a rubberized protective strips on the bottom and front of the pack. It’s available in Carbon Grey or Loam and also has an internal mesh pocket.

EVOC MULTI FRAME PACK

The EVOC Multi Frame Pack is available in Carbon Grey or Loam and offers additional storage space in two sizes. With variable Velcro fasteners it can be attached to various frame shapes. Rubberized frame protection strips protect against scratches, while highly abrasion-resistant and water-repellent material protects tools and spares during transport. The pack also comes with frame protection stickers.
