EVOC Sports from Munich, Germany, just announced its revamped bikepacking bags that have been scaled up and sealed tight for multi-day bikepacking. Find an overview of the fully waterproof range here…

Best known for their well-regarded bike backpacks and bike travel cases, German brand EVOC just announced a major update to their bikepacking bag lineup. While their initial bag range stood out to us in 2019 with their innovative use of BOA dials on bikepacking bags, the overall small carrying capacity kept us wanting more. The new lineup retains the focus on rock-solid attachment and comes with expanded capacity, improved features, and complete waterproofing across the range that make them a viable option for true multi-day bikepacking trips.

All bags are made from an abrasion-resistant, dirt-repellent, waterproof material, feature fully welded seams, and come in both a lighter steel and darker carbon grey colorway. Find an overview of the models below.

EVOC HANDLEBAR PACK BOA WP

The Handlebar Pack BOA WP is a waterproof handlebar bag with a BOA Fit System and molded contact bracket much like the original that keeps the bag off the bars and provides space for cables — and fingers on drop-bars — to pass behind. Shock cord along the front provides an option for lashing light items like jackets to the outside. It’s available in rather small 2.5L (€120 /$130) and 5L (€140 /$150) sizes, which further points to an optimization for drop-bars.

EVOC SEAT PACK BOA WP

The Seat Pack BOA WP is a large, completely waterproof seat pack design that attaches with the BOA Fit System to the seatpost and two adjustable straps that loop around the saddle rails. Contents are kept dry yet easily accessible thanks to the roll-closure. It’s available in 6L, 8L, 12L, and 16L sizes for just about every type of adventure, and we suspect the discrete point of contact with the seatpost means great dropper post compatibility on the smaller sizes. Shock cord criss-crossing the top provides overflow capacity. The Seat Pack BOA will retail for €120/130 for the 6L, €140/$150 for the 8L, €160/$170 for the 12L, and €180/$190 for the 16L version.

The Seat Pack WP is a stripped-down version of its larger sibling, and we could see the compact roll-top design working well with dropper posts and mini-pannier setups that don’t rely on big seat packs. Quickly mounted with velcro, the 2L (€50/$60) and 4L (€60/$70) capacity are certainly enough for keeping some bulkier essentials dry and handy.

EVOC MULTI FRAME PACK WP

The Multi Frame Pack is a simple frame-mounted accessory bag. It’s been updated to feature the same waterproof material as the other bags and features a single side zip for access. The universal design can be adapted to work with just about any frame and is available in a small (€50/$50) and medium size (€60/$60).

The Frame Pack WP is a waterproof frame bag that mounts to the frame via velcro straps and features a long side zipper. Thoughtfully, EVOC provides frame protection strips with the bag. The Frame Pack WP carries 1.5L worth of gear in size S (€80/$80) or 3.5L in size M (€90/$95).

EVOC TOP TUBE PACK WP

With the Top Tube Pack WP, EVOC doesn’t reinvent the wheel with a design that keeps your essentials dry within arm’s reach. Mounting is achieved by bolting or strapping it to the top tube. Frame protection strips are included here as well, and the bag will retail for €40/$45.

EVOC TOOL WRAP WP

EVOC now offers a sleek tool roll made from the same waterproof, dirt-repellent material as their bikepacking bags. It looks to be well-suited for a minimal tool kit, either strapped to the saddle rails or thrown in another bag. The Tool Wrap WP will retail for €35/40$.

We’ll be sure to share more details when the range is launched in autumn 2022.
