Fizik Announces New Gravita Shoe Line

The new Fizik Gravita shoe line is the end product of the brand’s efforts to create a lightweight but protective shoe for gravity racing, downhill, and trail riding. Their approach was to design a performance-minded shoe without a bulky and overbuilt look and feel. The Fizik Gravita line is made up of the Tensor and Versor shoes, which are available in both clipless and flat versions. Find details on all four models below.

Fizik Tensor

Described as “a solid, yet lightweight and form-fitting mountain bike shoe conceived for gravity racing,” the Fizik Tensor is designed to be protective, durable, and check all the boxes for downhill and enduro mountain bike riders. It features an aggressive Vibram XS EVO rubber outsole, lace-up closure with a large velcro strap to secure the fit, and a slim ripstop outer fabric that’s said to be less absorbent than other enduro shoes on the market. There is also a TPU-injected toe box and a raised inner ankle with a laminated scuff guard for added protection. The flat version is nearly identical to the clipless model but its sole isn’t as stiff.

Fizik Versor

While the Tensor is clearly designed for the downhills, the Fizik Versor is meant to be a slightly more versatile option for those mixing downhill style riding with general trail riding. It uses the same Vibram sole and tread pattern, but loses the velcro Powerstrap and relies solely on its lace-up closure. The Versor also doesn’t have the added protection of a raised inner ankle but is still built up with TPU-injected reinforcements for durability. It is also available in both a clipless and flat model, the former being slightly stiffer for better power transfer.
