Fizik’s new Terra Argo is a gravel-specific saddle with a short-nose, waved profile, softer padding, and compliant shell, all designed for long and bumpy rides. Find the details here…

Gravel-specific is kind a silly term when associated with a lot of products, but it appears that Fizik put a lot of thought into their new Terra Argo gravel saddle. For one, they claim that its shorter design and wave profile puts riders in a more planted position, and allows riders to sit further forward without placing undue pressure on sensitive areas. Additionally, the waved profile offers support that helps riders hold their position while climbing. And, the Terra Argo has a shell made to offer a certain degree of flexibility and compliance to absorb vibrations.

The Terra Argo’s padding is also a little more cushy than others in their line. Its made from fizik’s Type-2 foam, which is slightly thicker around the ischial sit bones area. Fizik states that this supports a more upright riding posture and it slightly softer than what they use on their racing saddles.

Lastly, unlike many saddles with cutouts, the Terra Argo has an odd mud-guard covering up the opening, complete with a small drain hole to keep water from puddling.
